The Nomadic Games Federation is proud to announce to have invited Khusugtun, the #1 traditional Mongolian band to Luxembourg. They will play a historic concert on the 28th March 2022 in the Trifolion in Echternach.
Khusugtun will bring with them their newest album "Jangar"

About the event

Nomadic Games Federation Luxembourg (LU) and Routes Nomades (FR) bring Mongolia's most famed Ethnic Folk Group, "Khusugtun", to the Trifolion in Echternach! The band around the renowned throat singer Batzorig Vaanchig, who became a Youtube hit and internet legend years ago, is on a mission to let the natural sounds of the Mongolian steppes resonate all around the globe.

In Mongolian, "khusug" is a chariot on which nomads place their yurts to move around the steppes and grasslands. Khusugtun literally means "the people of the chariots". This term is intimately linked to their nomadic culture and synonymous with their artistic lifestyle, as they have been ambassadors for the Mongolian culture for the past thirteen years. They even made it to Asia's Got Talent's final show, taking second place.

What Gregorian Chanting is for the West, Khoomii (Mongolian throat singing) is for the East. However, some styles of Khoomii exceed anything we know on the other end of the Eurasian continent. Khusugtun is composed of 5 masterful throat singers chanting in different types, some producing guttural sounds, some high whistling ones that all go deep under your skin. To round it up, Amarbayasgalan complements the band with her soft, feminine voice as she brings lightness and gentleness to the spectrum, creating a well-rounded, wholesome balance.

We guarantee that this concert is unlike anyone you have heard before. It is not just a concert; it is an experience to remember. If you felt isolated at home, dissociated from nature, or just longing for a distant, far away place during the last years: this is the cure!
